Hi Everyone,
It takes just a few minutes at the end of each meeting to record your score for the meeting on a scale of one to ten. Read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. It is a good read about how to incorporate meaningful and powerful habits into your everyday life. As we work toward becoming a more interdisciplinary company, we need new habits and ways of working. Rating the meeting for efficacy, emotional safety, diversity of perspective, and the equity of conversational time is a simple way to get started. I’d like to keep building on our transition to an interdisciplinary model with simple and effective habits. A few questions for your consideration regarding meetings.
- Was the meeting a good use of your time?
- What would have made it better?
- Was everyone heard and engaged?
- Did we address one another directly and respectfully?
- Did we get to the root cause and solve the real issues?
- Did we achieve what was listed on the agenda?
Have a great weekend, and remember to read about AI and Machine Learning… we are uniquely positioned to do great work in this space.
Let’s go be great!
